ANNOUNCING: Thrive - United for Democracy and Global Action 2026
A Virtual Summit Where Educators, Organizers, Business Leaders, and Citizens Unite to Strengthen Democracy
Democracy is at risk—but we're not powerless.
While 72% of the world's population now lives under autocratic governance, remarkable stories of resistance and democratic renewal are happening everywhere. From teachers creating civic engagement curricula that transforms students into community leaders, to businesses partnering with nonprofits for voter education, to grassroots organizers building cross-sector coalitions that actually win—people are finding ways to activate democratic participation in their communities.
It's time we learned from each other.
What is Thrive?
Thrive: United for Democracy and Global Action is a virtual conference (January 21-22, 2026) designed specifically for the cross-sector collaboration that democracy desperately needs. This isn't another academic conference or partisan rally—it's a practical gathering where educators, community organizers, business leaders, nonprofit professionals, and engaged citizens share tools, strategies, and partnerships that strengthen democracy from the ground up.
The central question we're addressing: How do we activate more people to be active participants in democracies around the world?
Why This Matters Now
Whether you're a teacher trying to engage students in meaningful civic learning, a librarian creating community dialogue spaces, a nonprofit leader building coalitions, or simply someone who cares about democratic participation—you've likely felt isolated in this work. This Is Our Moment
Democracy doesn't strengthen itself—it requires all of us working together across the artificial boundaries that usually separate educators from organizers, nonprofits from businesses, local advocates from global movements.
Your experience matters. Your strategies matter. Your networks matter.
Join us in creating the cross-sector collaboration that democracy needs to not just survive, but thrive.
